Comunidad y normatividad en las ciencias sociales y humanas

Resumen


Intentamos mostrar cómo una normatividad de la comunidad estaba en la base de la distinción entre comunidad y sociedad desarrollada por el fundador de la sociología alemana moderna, Ferdinand Tönnies, cómo la "sociedad civil" tiene su propio conjunto de normas contrarias a las de la "comunidad", y que esta normatividad fue oscurecida por el compromiso ostensible de los fundadores de la sociología alemana con la neutralidad de valores. Estos supuestos normativos subyacen a afirmaciones controvertidas de supuestos hechos que indican la dirección ascendente o descendente de los grupos humanos. Una teleología es la suposición de que los seres humanos cuando interactúan tienden a la paz, y otra es que hay un amplio movimiento de la comunidad a la sociedad, lo que implica dos narrativas diferentes: el ascenso de las libertades individuales y el declive del amor. Un punto que se pasa por alto en estas narrativas es la libertad de amar.
